Helping riders rebuild trust with their horse

Something's off, and you know it. You're just not sure how to find your way back to each other, or whether there's another way. There is.

You're doing everything right. So why does it still feel like a struggle?

You show up. You put in the time. You care about your horse more than most people understand.

But somewhere along the way, something shifted. He's tenser than he used to be. Or he was never quite relaxed to begin with. You pull, he resists. You push, he shuts down. And the harder you try, the further away that easy, willing partnership feels.

You've probably been told to use more leg. More contact. More correction.

What if the problem isn't that you're not doing enough, but that the approach itself isn't working for your horse?

There’s a different way to work with your horse

Reward-based training isn't softer or slower. It's more precise, and it gets to the root of what's actually going on between you and your horse.

Partnership over performance

The goal isn't a perfectly obedient horse. It's a horse that genuinely wants to work with you.

Results that last

Reward-based training builds understanding, not compliance. That's why the changes stick, even when you're not in the arena.

You stop guessing

When you understand what your horse is communicating, every session gets clearer. No more wondering what went wrong.

Hi, I’m Sally

I’m reward-based riding instructor based in Wales. I've been working with horses and riders using positive reinforcement for 8 years. Not because it's the easy route, but because I've seen what changes when a horse finally feels understood.

I work with riders at all levels. Beginners finding their footing. Experienced riders who've hit a wall. Horse owners who love their horse but dread the tension that shows up the moment they start riding. What they all have in common is that they're ready to try a different approach.

Most of my clients have already tried a lot of things. What they haven't tried yet is working with their horse instead of against him. That's where we start.

This is how we can work together
